Bienvenue

All parrots like to take bath even those who seem to fear water. It is important not to force fearful birds into taking a bath so as not to traumatise them in the long run. You must proceed in a delicate, respectful manner to find what the bird prefers (bath or mist, in the sink or showering with you) while giving encouragement. You may start by gently spraying the bird with lukewarm water or by showing it a shallow container in which you tap the water with your fingers. A bird that tries to bathe in his dishwater or is all fluffed up when he hears running water in the sink, wants to bath... take advantage of those situations to encourage him to go into the water. Baths are good for the skin, for the feathers and the enjoyment of getting wet.
